Students will venture outside to nearby bodies of water in search of aquatic animals. Using humane procedures, they will catch and identify the animals they find and then draw conclusions about the health of the ecosystem.

About the Event


The Belle Isle Nature Center offers a water quality field trip program that takes students to nearby bodies of water to study the ecosystem's health. The program involves:
Catching and identifying aquatic animals using humane procedures
Drawing conclusions about the ecosystem's health
The program may get muddy. Please dress for the weather and activities.
KEY CONSIDERATIONS:
Limit 40 Students.
Limit 10 Chaperones. See parent volunteer sign-up and select "Belle Isle Chaperone" if you would like to volunteer. Preference will be given to parents with young children.
We request that if you have teens please consider carpooling and dropping them off for the program.
